Kuwait Telecommunications Company (stc) has announced the first commercial deployment of 5G RedCap Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service in the Middle East.

This advancement is set to transform broadband connectivity by providing unparalleled reliability and speed to both residential and commercial users.

The aim is to make 5G adoption more accessible while enhancing the overall customer experience. The 5G RedCap FWA service promises stable and cost-effective high-speed internet access, which is great news for users.

The announcement of the new service was made at the second forum of the ELITE FWA Club, which was attended by industry leaders on the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona.
